Once you’ve returned from your stunning cruise adventure into Vancouver, you’ll spend another night at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. This is the perfect opportunity to head back to any of your favourite spots in Vancouver, buy some souvenirs or gifts or head to somewhere new you’d love to explore.

The next day, board the Rocky Mountaineer, beginning your journey by leaving behind the coastal blues to see Fraser Valley’s extensive, opulent green fields and fairy tale forests with twisting rivers and dramatic peaks as you near the Cascade Mountains. Pass through dusty landscapes Juneausimilar to deserts in the BC Interior as you near Kamloops. Before reaching Kamloops Station, you’ll journey alongside Kamloops Lake before arriving between 6 and 7:30 pm. Today, breakfast and lunch are served on-board. This evening, you’ll be staying at one of Kamloops’ comfortable hotels, which will be assigned post-booking. Before turning in for the night, head out to one of Kamloops’ independent eateries or pubs, such as Noble Pig microbrewery, crafting its own IPAs. 

For the second day of your travels on-board the Rocky Mountaineer, continue on your journey towards the province of Alberta. Today, pass the photogenic Canadian Rockies as you follow the course of the North Thompson River through rugged mountains, including the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. The best parts of this journey include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies standing a breath-taking 3,954 metres high, Pyramid Falls and the sensational views during the climb over the Yellowhead Pass as you enter Jasper National Park. Breakfast and lunch are included on-board. Your journey on the Rocky Mountaineer concludes between 7:30 and 9pm in the town of Jasper. 

In Jasper, you will be staying at the luxurious Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, in the heart of Alberta’s magical Jasper National Park, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Featuring plenty of year-round facilities to keep the adventurous spirit flowing, including a heated outdoor pool, skiing (shuttle service available to the Marmot Basin) and ice skating on Lake Mildred, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring this breath-taking area of natural beauty. There’s also a cosy, mountain-inspired spa and a golf course with magnificent views of Jasper Park’s rugged peaks. The Fairmont’s log cabins are connected by paths with spectacular scenic views. Guest rooms offer cosy, lodge-style living with modern touches and stylish décor. Perfect for couples or families, the rooms are available with either one King size bed, one Queen size bed or two doubles. Fairmont rooms also feature an outdoor patio area, flat screen TV, electric kettle, ironing facilities and a hairdryer. From Jasper to Calgary, you’ll also have access to your own hire car, so you can explore this remarkable region at your own pace.

After your stay in the peaceful Jasper National Park, it’s time to continue on your journey towards Calgary by spending the next two nights at the spectacular Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, ideally situated so that you can make the most of exploring Lake Louise itself and Banff. Surrounded by the mountain peaks, Victoria Glacier and the glittering Emerald Lake. Pass the afternoon by discovering the extensive activities, such as hiking, canoeing, horse riding, river rafting and mountain biking. Unparalleled views of the Chateau grounds and hillside are amongst the amenities offered in the luxurious Fairmont rooms. You’ll also have one King-size bed or two Queen-size beds, a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi access and plush, modern décor to make your stay as refreshing as possible.
