Decorated with a colourful Mardi Gras feel, Doubloon Lagoon is one of the brightest pools at Walt Disney World and scattered around the pool are comical characters from the Mardi Gras – watch as the children try to avoid being “sprayed”. A small distance from the main pool you will find a hot tub and the welcoming pool bar Mardi Grogs. where you can have a long, cool, refreshing drink -Towel hire is also available here. Adjacent to the Doubloon Lagoon is a children’s playground. Here youngsters can climb and slide to their hearts content. South Quarter Games Arcade is where you will find approximately 51 games. Dotted all around Walt Disney World are the pressed penny machines, the French Quarter is no different – see your children’s faces light up while a penny is crushed, elongated and embossed with one of the famous Disney characters faces. Cajun Campfires is a relatively new activity where a campfire is lit at dusk-Join in traditional camp fire singing whilst toasting a marshmallows. Sassagoula is the name of the main food court here at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter housed in a converted warehouse you can enjoy a big hearty cooked breakfast of eggs and bacon to set you up for the exciting days spent in the park. Be sure to take your camera to prove you did catch the biggest!

Dine in Boatwrights Dining Hall a rustic shipyard and savor the flavor of tasty New Orleans cooking.
