Global Computer Outage – update

Our own systems continue to function normally and we understand that a software fix has now been distributed to travel industry providers including airlines and airports. However, implementing this software fix will still take and the back log caused by this morning’s global outage is not forecast to be entirely resolved until the part of next week. We will continue working with all of our partners to help customers in need of assistance.

Several major US airlines including Delta, United and American Airlines have cancelled all immediate departures within the USA and this will have implications regarding their airline codeshare partners with customers due to travel on cancelled flights. Once operational, the airlines will restrict access to their system so that they can begin re-booking customers themselves and customers are advised to monitor their airline website and phone apps as that information will be more up to date than the information that we have access to through the Travelport system.

The Travelport IT problem has been resolved and we can now access existing airline bookings and make new ones.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will be reaching out directly to anyone affected. Please keep checking here for the latest information.

Our systems are operating as normal, but certain suppliers have been affected, including airlines and airport operations.

This also includes airline booking systems and so currently, we are not able to make new or access existing bookings.

If you are due to travel today, we strongly advise you to check in online and also arrive at the airport at least an additional hour earlier than previously advised as we anticipate manual check in procedures will cause considerable delay.

If you are in resort and due to travel home and your flight is delayed or cancelled, airlines will usually provide accommodation and food vouchers, however if this has not been possible, you may need to make a booking yourself and keep your receipts and we will assist your expense claims on your return.
