Category 6 is the largest waterpark at sea with no less than six thrilling water slides including Frightening Bolt, the tallest waterslide at sea and Pressure Drop, a near vertical epic slide that’s the first open freefall waterslide on a cruise ship. And then there’s Hurricane Hunter, the first family raft slide at sea, hold tight and keep an eye out for the rest of your crew.
You’ll always find a more tranquil spot at Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea complete with in water loungers and raised Jacuzzis with elevated views, it’s the perfect sunbathing spot with plenty of refreshing drinks and snacks close to hand.
The Hideaway Pool is something special, the first suspended infinity pool at sea; its disappearing edges make for picture perfect views and an ideal spot to try out your camera phone.
Families will love Surfside, the new stay and play all day neighbourhood with its sprawling, kid friendly aquapark, adult pool and plenty of snacks nearby. And there’s an arcade, a carousel and Adventure Ocean, the ships youth programme, a great place to find some new cruising buddies.
Adults have their own hideaway, Cloud 17, tucked away on the top deck; it features a secluded pool, a cantilevered whirlpool and private access to the Lime and Coconut Bar with stunning ocean views.
You’ll need nerves of steel and a good head for heights if you want to take on the challenge of Crown’s Edge, part skywalk, part obstacle course, part thrill ride, it’s not for the faint hearted and only the bravest of the brave should take on the challenge.
Try and stay upright or boogie board along on stomach on the thrilling 40 foot long Flowrider surf simulator as thousands of gallons of rushing water keep you afloat while you try to avoid being wiped out.
